The device has a radially compressible and radially expandable mesh tube (10) comprising a supporting mesh (20) and a compression mesh (30). The supporting and compression meshes are formed by filaments (21, 31) connected with one another. The compression mesh is woven into the supporting mesh such that a compressed area (35) is formed. The supporting and compression meshes comprise respective edge loops (22, 32) that are attached to a distal longitudinal end (12) of the mesh tube. The compression mesh comprises open filament ends at a proximal mesh edge (34). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a medical system (2) a method for manufacturing a device or a system.
