The system (1) has a photovoltaic cell (101) that converts the electromagnetic radiation (2) incident onto the electromagnetic radiation-sensitive surface (103), into electrical energy. A coarse-adjustment element (11) adjusts a coarse angle of incidence of the radiation to the radiation-sensitive surface of the cell. A fine-adjustment element (102) adjusts a fine angle of incidence of the radiation to the radiation-sensitive surface of the cell. The adjustment elements are independently controlled, such that a coarse ratio is greater than a fine ratio. An independent claim is included for a method of adjusting an angle of incidence of electromagnetic radiation on the electromagnetically-sensitive surface of a photovoltaic cell of a photovoltaic system.
