The method involves applying a laser-structurable mask material (1) e.g. laser-structurable polymer and laser-structurable rubber, onto a screen printing fabric (2) by overlamination of a laser-structurable film on the screen printing fabric or curing the screen printing fabric with a mono or a polymer solution with a defined layer thickness and curing procedure. A printing structure is engraved on the laser-structurable mask material by the carrying-out of a laser patterning process, where interfacial tension of the laser-structurable mask material is 20 milli Newton per meter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a screen printing method (2) a device for performing a screen printing method.
