PURPOSE: A method to produce a fabric strip, especially for a screen printing form, and fabric, especially screen printing fabric is provided for a method to produce a fabric strip, especially for use as a screen printing template made from plastic fabric, which is vacuum metalized with an encasing layer and is then given an electroplated coating. CONSTITUTION: A fabric (10) for manufacturing screen printing forms is produced from crossing chaining yarn (12) and threads (14). These threads (12,14) consist polyethylene (PE) of any plastic base materials, approximately of PP (PA) and polyethylenenaphthalate (PET).
