The circuit has a partial refrigerant circuit (13) branching in direction of flow of a coolant to a combustion engine (2) of a refrigerant circuit (1) and opening in direction of flow of the coolant between a valve (9) and a coolant pump (5) i.e. electrical coolant pump, into the refrigerant circuit. The partial refrigerant circuit is arranged with a waste-gas heat exchanger (10) and another coolant pump (11), and conveys coolants back to the former coolant pump. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a combustion engine.
