The rotor (6) has a magnet which is arranged for producing transverse magnetic field. A winding (22) is provided for circumferentially surrounding the magnet, and is equipped with winding regions arranged in circumferential direction such that the electrical and magnetic properties of winding regions differ. A slot is formed in winding along circumferential direction. An independent claim is included for an electric motor.
