The detector i.e. X-ray detector (1), has a detector housing (2) closed by a radiation-transmissive housing cover (3), and a radiation converter (4) i.e. X-ray converter, attached to a radiation-transmissive substrate (5). An image sensor (6) i.e. photodiode array, lies on a base plate (7). The converter lies on the sensor, and a flexible and radiation-transmissive pressing element (8) is arranged between cover and converter such that the converter is pressed on the sensor when the housing is closed. The element is designed as a cushion and filled with gas e.g. nitrogen, oxygen or noble gas.
