The tool has grooves formed at an outer circumference of a tool body (1) for receiving honing strips (17). Radial bores are provided at a bottom of the grooves. Feeding pins (11) are arranged in the radial bores. The pins transfer radial, outwardly aligned feeding movements and an inwardly aligned, return movement from a feeding rod (5) to the honing strips, where radial movements of the honing strips are carried out in both directions in form-fit manner. Forced control limits a feeding path of support strips (15) based on a position of the feeding rod in a radial direction.
