The press belt (20) has a fiber-reinforced plastic matrix that is provided in a partial region made of polyurethane and as additives polydimethylsiloxane, silica microparticles, and silica nanoparticles. The partial region of the fiber-reinforced plastic matrix is formed as a foam. The press belt is made of polyurethane prepolymer, methylene diphenyl (MDI) prepolymer, and (p-polyphenylene diisocyanate) PPDI prepolymer with polyether, polycarbonate, polycaprolactone that are designed as a polyol component. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a plastic matrix for a press belt.
