The unit has a mass or volume flow measuring device (5) for measuring a mass or volumetric flow of a fluid and integrated in branch lines (4) towards a fluid stream in front of dosing units (6) of a dosing system. The dosing units fill multiple containers (7) with the fluid and supply the fluid to the branch lines. The fluid is fed from a stock container (2) over the branch lines. The dosing units are designed as filling units or filling heads. The fluid is fed from multiple reservoirs to the dosing system over a branch line system using a pump. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling or regulating a filling amount in a bottling plant.
