The arrangement (100) has a Hall sensor (110) and a Hall switch (120) that are arranged in series along a path (300). The Hall sensor includes a functional area (112) in which an output signal of the Hall sensor indicates a detection of magnetic field of magnets (200). The functional area of the Hall sensor overlaps with a switching area (122) of the Hall switch. The Hall sensor comprises a measurement area (114) along the path where measured values of the Hall sensor in the measurement area are associated with a position of the magnets in the measurement area. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for determining a position of magnets on a path (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for determining position of magnets on the path.
