The mechanism (1) has a fixable shaft (6) provided in a housing (24). A gear (3) i.e. planetary gear, rotates around a rotation axis (7) of the mechanism by swiveling the shaft relative to the housing in parallel manner. The rotation axis of the mechanism parallel to symmetry axis of the housing is adjustable. Curved paths in the housing are supported at the symmetry axis and the rotation axis. One of the curved paths is descriptive by differentiating distances of the symmetry axis in the housing. A tap (14) is fixed opposite to the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting clearance between two gears of a gear mechanism.
