The machine has a rotor (1) surrounded by a stator (3), which has rotor rings (4) each of which has claws (5) made of soft magnetic material. Each claw cooperates with the magnetic field generator (11) of stator-fixed exciter device (10). The magnetic field generator is arranged radially within the respective rotor ring. The rotor ring is provided with magnetic ring (12) containing permanent magnets (13). The magnetization of the permanent magnets in the tangential direction (phi ) about the rotational axis (2) is alternated when viewed from the direction of sequence of the claws.
