The simulator (100) has battery cell simulators (200) having controllable voltage source (300) and controller (400). The controller places voltage source according to reference value and actual value, which are determined by measurement values at two measuring inputs (610,620). Ends of low impedance supply conduits (515) are connected with low impedance outputs (510,520) of simulator. The measuring inputs of controller are connected over high impedance measuring conduits (615) with measuring points (501), which are arranged at other ends of low impedance supply conduits. An independent claim is included for system for testing or diagnosing battery module simulator.
