The extraction mechanism has a movable structure (11) that is arranged on the base frame and is provided with a movable element (30) and a clamping stat arrangement (62). The movable structure is moved along track (14) by a drive portion (16). The clamping stat arrangement and movable element are displaced by the controllable drive units (52,66). The electrically-adjustable spindles (54,68) are formed in the controllable drive units. An independent claim is included for a method for removing sections of extrusion system.
