The system (20) has a solid oxide fuel cell (10) comprising an anode (1), a cathode (2) and electrolytes arranged between the anode and cathode. Carbonaceous combustible gas is supplied to the anode, and oxygen-containing gas is supplied to the cathode. Recirculation circuits comprising a carbon dioxide separator (21), condenser (22), a pump (23), an anode exhaust line (201) and recirculation circuit spacers (221, 222, 223) are provided for recirculating anode exhaust gas. The separator has a carbon dioxide selective membrane or gas centrifuge. An independent claim is also included for an operating method for a solid oxide fuel cell system.
