Electrochemical energy storage i.e. lithium-ion-battery, manufacturing method, involves arranging electrode complementary to another electrode on side of separator layer, where side is opposite to former electrode
The method involves providing an electrode. Dispersion containing a volatile solvent e.g. alcohol and glycol ether, in which a separator material e.g. polypropylene and polyethylene, is dispersed, is provided. The dispersion is applied on the electrode by using a screen printing process. The solvent is removed by forming a separator layer. The separator layer is treated under an increased temperature. Another electrode complementary to the former electrode is arranged on a side of the separator layer, where the side is opposite to the former electrode. An independent claim is also included for an energy storage.
