The device has drivable gear element (1) on which switching element (7) is located and moved into switching position. A transmission element (4) is coupled with axial shifting movement of switching element via interaction of contact pin (18). The contact pin radially moved between normal position and engaged position is inserted into groove-shift gate (17) triggered in axial direction. The groove-shift gate is moved radially opposite to the switching element. The contact pin is received radially and slidably between the inner and outer diameter of transmission element.
