A second lateral force application unit adjusts a wiper blade tension and comprises a servo tensioner. A distance roller carries the tensioned wiper lath unit (14a) in an operating state. The second lateral force transmission unit adapts a contour of a wiper lath unit to a contour of a disk. An air blower unit blows off liquids by a disk. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying lateral force on a wiper blade.
