The through-flow drying unit has a heating section (2) that is provided in the direction of passage (D) one behind the other. The air is flown through the heating zones at moderate temperature. The air is flown through cooling zone in a separate cooling line (5). The heating zones (3.1-3.3) are coupled to the individual cooling zones (6.1-6.3) to transfer heat through the cooling zone. Each cooling zone are connected with the corresponding temperature-controlled heating zones.
