The handle assembly (1) has a grip element (2) with a base handle (3) and a handle portion (4). A shaft (5) has a shaft axis (6) which is rigidly connected to the base handle and a return element (10) is provided to minimize the outer circumference of the grip element. The base handle and sliding surface (7a,7b) of handle portion have mutual contact. The sliding surfaces are partially inclined at an angle equal to 90[deg] to the shaft axis. A guide unit is provided for guided movement of the sliding surfaces that is moved into actuated state.
