The analyzer has an infrared radiation source (1) that generates an infrared radiation (2). An aperture (6) modulates the infrared radiation. An evaluation unit (13) is arranged for determining concentration of measurement gas component (4) by performing phase-sensitive evaluation of measurement signal (12) generated by sensor (11). Apertures are extended along circumferential direction of marker tracks. A light barrier (15) is arranged for generating a position signal by sampling marker track.
