Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for displaying search results and other sites of interest located on multiple floors or levels on a multi-level map are provided. A method may include receiving an input indicating a search criteria. Furthermore, the method may include determining at least one search result position related to the search criterion and determining a relationship between the at least one search result position and a multi-level map. In addition, the method may further comprise: at least partially based on the relationship, causing a map plane and the at least one search result location to be displayed as a search result location indicator, the displayed search result location indicator being based at least in part on which level the search result is located, can be displayed in a different way. Corresponding devices and computer program products are also provided.
