The method involves assigning an attitude parameter to a facility (9). A contact touch-sensitive surface (4) is placed on a display surface (2). A button is displayed for changing the attitude parameter. The contact touch-sensitive surface is attached with the button. Movement of an affecting position is detected on the touch-sensitive surface. The attitude parameter is changed based on traveling direction and/or movement length of the touch-sensitive surface, where a value of the attitude parameter is displayed in a switching surface. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating a facility i.e. camera.
