The method involves arranging semi-finished material (30) made of fiber between two flexible silicone diaphragms (12,24). A predetermined shape of the diaphragm (12) is formed before placing the semi-finished material between diaphragms. The diaphragm is partially overlapped with the tool unit, so as to enclose a sealed space between the tool unit and diaphragm. The predetermined shape of the diaphragm is formed by the shaping element. The formed shape of the diaphragm is fixed by evacuating the sealed space. An independent claim is included for tool for manufacturing fiber composite component.
