The method involves detecting a parameter corresponding to driver's mental state and changing emitted light color from lamps (3) according to mood. Degree of fatigue is determined from the parameter. The light color is not changed if the degree of fatigue exceeds a predetermined fatigue value. Stress level is determined from the parameters, and the light color is not changed when the stress level exceeds a predetermined stress value. The light color is reinforced with increasing fatigue level and/or level of stress.
