The method involves producing a roof reinforcement element (1,2) using cardboard and/or foam as core material in punching process by a punching device. The different sizes of roof reinforcement elements are produced in a single punching device. A large roof reinforcement element (1) is made using a piercing and/or cutting tool and a small roof reinforcement element (2) is cut by activating a stamping and/or cutting tool from the large roof reinforcement element for the production of small roof reinforcement element.
