The vehicle axle assembly (10) has a hub (12) which is mounted on a cylindrical axle body (14) so that it is rotated about a central longitudinal axis (A), where an inner axial shaft sealing ring (36) and an outer axial shaft sealing ring (38) provide a direct or indirect seal between the axle body and the hub.
