The harvester i.e. loading wagon (1), has a loading space (5) and an unloading and dosing device (6) for unloading and dosing a crop e.g. hay, from/to the space. A monitoring device (14) monitors an unloading operational parameter characterizing an unloading process. A control device (9) controls the unloading process and automatically provides a control signal for controlling another unloading operational parameter influencing the unloading process depending on the former parameter. The monitoring device monitors metering roller rotational torque and/or power consumption as the parameters. The crop is in a form of a crop carpet (25). The control device is in a form of a job computer.
