The present invention relates to a music stand for a grand piano, consisting of a frame which is designed to be placed on the top of the grand piano and which receives a music holder which is pivotally mounted on the frame and which can be arranged not only at different heights above the keyboard of the grand piano, but above it also different inclination settings. The rotation of the music holder is achieved via laterally arranged swivel joints, within which the music holder can also be moved axially in the vertical direction, parallel to its main plane its inclination is changeable.
