The panel has a connecting unit for connecting a roof element (3) to a body (2) of a motor car (1). The roof element is provided with a receiving device (4) e.g. bicycle carrier, transportation box and ski carriers, for receiving an article. The bicycle carrier is slidingly arranged in a rail (6) and longitudinal direction of the motor car. The roof element is provided with the rail. A facing side of a transportation box is formed with a closable opening in a passenger compartment of the motor car. The closable opening is closed by a movable flap.
