The method involves creating multi-path channel models with different orders representing number of transmission paths. A residual signal is acquired based on difference between acquaintance and synthetic signals. The model is adapted to the computed residual signal by incoherent initialization. A component of model is chosen such that dispersion parameter of the chosen component is updated, and test parameter is estimated. The weight vector and order statistics of component are updated based on dispersion and test parameters continuously until convergence criteria are satisfied.
