The device has a data input module (324) for receiving raw image data stream from a set of data sources, and a data memory module (312) e.g. hard disc drive, for temporarily storing raw image data. A display screen displays the raw image data, and an interface module (328) obtains user input data from a user of the device. A control module (304) selectively extends the raw image data based on the user input data and communicates the extended image data to a remote image data memory device. A global positioning system-device (320) determines position of the transmission device. An independent claim is also included for a method for noting and transferring image data using a cross-linked video transmission device.
