The fuel cell system (1) has via line elements that are fluidically interconnected with components (10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17) provided in the region of the fuel cell (3). The component and/or the conducting element (20) is arranged with the sight glass for viewing the interior of the fuel cell system main portion. The sight glass is in the form of a closed-end consisting of a transparent material of the closed end of the tube (19). The component or the conducting element is protruded into the fuel cell through closed end of the tube.
