The method involves detecting the environment signals (S) by detecting units (4) provided in park assistance system of first vehicle (1). The detecting units in switched OFF ignition state of first vehicle are activated when object such as second vehicle (2) and third vehicle (3) is approached with respect to vehicle, so that the detecting unit detects the spacing between first vehicle and object. The environment signal from detecting unit is output to object based on spacing between the first vehicle and the object.
