The engine (10) has an exhaust gas tract (18) flowing exhaust gas of the engine. A pressurized air tank (22) comprises working medium i.e. organic working medium, and is operated based on a principle of a rankine cycle i.e. organic rankine cycle (ORC), of a waste heat utilization device (20) i.e. battery. Compressed air of the engine is supplied by providing energy from the air tank, where the compressed air is stored in the air tank by a compressor (38). The waste heat utilization device comprises a turbine (28) driven by the medium.
