The system has a toothbrush and an external display unit comprising respective transmitters and respective receivers, so that wireless data is exchangeable between the toothbrush and the display unit. The toothbrush comprises sensors for orientation of a brush head. The sensors determine pressure of the brush head, acceleration of the brush head, an angle of inclination of the brush head with respect to a tooth surface or a motion sequence of the brush head. A motor converts information of the sensor regarding the angle of inclination to a compensatory motion of the brush head.
