The smart roller (100) has a roller unit (50) which is designed such that a bearing (40) is axially connected with roller shaft (30) formed on peripheral surface of wheel (20). A brake projection (56) is formed as a friction element such that it allows a braking action to the rotation of the wheel in the stationary state. The brake projection is removed from the inner wall of the wheel, during the revolution operation of roller, in order to deactivate the braking force of roller unit.
