The trailer vehicle (4) is provided with a towing vehicle (6) that is mechanically connected to the trailer vehicle for moving the trailer vehicle. A motor (14) of the towing vehicle, which is connected with a fuel tank (8) through a fuel transfer line (10), is driven and the fuel stored in the fuel tank is supplied through the fuel transfer line. A controller (12) controls the operating parameters of the fuel tank. The fuel tank is designed as a gas tank for storing gas and fuel, which are driven by the motor of the towing vehicle. An independent claim is included for a transportation method for a trailer vehicle.
