The vehicle has an electric drive comprising electric motors (4A, 4B) for driving front and rear axles, and batteries (7A, 7B) provided as an energy source for the respective electric motors. Generators (6A, 6B) are mechanically connected with vehicle wheels for recovering electrical energy from movement energy of the vehicle and for storing the energy in the respective batteries. A control device (10) mechanically connects the axles with the respective motors, electrically connects the batteries with the respective motors and stores the generated energy in the batteries.
