The method involves placing a flat electrical cable (12) and a film contact sensor (14) in a stacked arrangement. The flat electrical cable is provided with an insulation unit (20). Conductors (16, 18) are electrically insulated from each other. A connector and conductor tracks (30, 32) are placed on the conductors by the insulation unit to electrically connect the flat electrical cables and the film contact sensor. An adhesive tape (34) and a clamp are partially applied around the connector. A part of the insulation unit is removed from the flat electrical cable. An independent claim is also included for a seat sensor arrangement.
