The device has an air spring cover that is fixed to the vehicle chassis (1). An air spring bellows (2) made of elastomeric material is connected to the air spring cover. A working chamber (5) is filled with compressed air. A rolling fold is formed in the air spring bellows and/or rolled on the air spring cover. The air spring cover is air-tightly fixed on the air spring bellows as a hybrid cap, respectively at the upper portion (3) made of aluminum and the lower portion (4) made of steel of the vehicle chassis.
