A solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a sintered porous anode, a dielectric layer covering anode, and a solid electrolyte covering the dielectric layer. The solid electrolyte comprises conductive polymer, and nonionic surfactant having HLB value of 10-20 and molecular weight of 100-10000 g/mole. The nonionic surfactant contains hydrophobic base and hydrophilic chain alkoxy moieties. An independent claim is included for manufacture of solid electrolytic capacitor.
