The lubrication structure has oil channels for supplying oil from a crankcase to the shaft end of the crankshaft over a side cover. A hollow support shaft is arranged between the crankcase and the side cover in order to hold the rotational elements on the outer circumference of the support shaft and to connect the oil channels with each other in their interior. A starter is provided for rotating the crankshaft on starting the engine (10). The hollow support shaft forms a transmission shaft.
