The structure has a set of upper combustion chamber portions (21) formed in a lower surface of a cylinder head (2), and intake openings (22) and exhaust openings (23) communicated with the chamber portions. A collector (24) connects the exhaust openings with the head. An outlet water jacket (70) cools the collector, and comprises an upper outlet water jacket (80) and a lower outlet water jacket (90), where the upper- and lower jackets are respectively arranged at upper and lower sides of the collector in a cylinder axis direction and form independent flow channels within the head.
