There is provided a forced discharge circuit of a battery charger for an electric vehicle which is capable of forcibly discharging a high voltage in accordance with the electric vehicle security code when the operation of the battery charger is stopped. A forced discharge circuit of a battery charger for an electric vehicle that discharges a high voltage that is applied to the battery charger that converts a utility power to charge a vehicle battery, comprises: a micro control unit (MCU) configured to generate a control signal in accordance with a state of charge the battery charger to generate; a discharge resistor connected in parallel with the battery charger; and a relay connected in series with the discharge resistor and configured to operate in an on or off state in accordance with the control signal from the MCU.
