A device (17) for vertically guiding optical fiber cables and for vertically depositing excess lengths thereof within an optical fiber distribution device, comprising a first rear base (18) mountable in the optical fiber distribution device and extending adjacent to a rear side of the optical fiber distribution device when assembled second front body (19) mountable in said optical fiber distribution means and extending in an assembled state adjacent to a front side of said optical fiber distributor means, said first rear body (18) and said second front body (19) being fixed in vertical alignment within said optical fiber manifold and thus unschwenkbar are mountable, wherein on a front wall of the first, rear base body (18) a plurality of guide elements (20, 21) for guiding optical fiber cables and for storing practice in a first vertical plane and on a front wall of the second front base body (19), a plurality of guide elements (22) for guiding optical fiber cables and for storing excess lengths thereof are fastened in a second vertical plane, the second, front main body (19 ) has a smaller width than the first, rear base body (18), so that on the guide elements (20, 21) of the first, rear base body (18) guided optical fiber cable and stored excess lengths thereof are accessible from the front of the optical fiber distribution device.
