A diode and a method of implementation of an organic light-emitting diode (delo) to the emission of light towards the bottom are described. The delo comprises a microcavity is formed between a cathode and an anode and having a plurality of organic layers including a light emitting layer. The process is characterized on the one hand, in that the organic layers comprise at least one layer of an organic material doped so as to offer less resistance to the transport of the electrons, at least one layer of an organic material doped so as to offer less resistance to the transport of the holes, and on the other hand, in that the thicknesses of the organic layers can therefore be adjusted independently of their electrical characteristics, in order to obtain an optimum optical adjustment of the microcavity to the wavelength to be produced from the emitting layer of light.
