The invention relates to a method for generating a changeable model of a flexible navigation device including at least two tools. The model can navigate within a virtual structure described by a surface meshing. The method includes the step of obtaining a plurality of bodies by discretizing the device, each body including a hinge for connecting said body to another body. According to the invention, the method comprises, for at least one body, the step of associating to the body a changeable layer representative of a set of parameters relative to at least two tools of the device.
