The compartment (3) has an opening that is closed by a flap (6). A tray is attached to the flap by a mechanism so as to take-up a horizontal extension position and a retracted storage position. A front rod (16), and a rear rod (17) are connected in an articulated manner in a lower face of the tray, and in an interior face of the flap. The rods are placed between the tray and the flap in the storage position, and the tray extends above and partially behind the flap in an opening position when the tray takes the storage position and extension position respectively.
